Basic information

Logging and Tracking

Within our knowledge we do not log any IP addresses or attempt to track you when you access our services, or network traffic towards our services.

We cannot guarantee that there is no third party tracking imposed either by software on your equipment or which has been imposed on us without our knowledge either by providers or law enforcement, therefore we recommend you take steps to protect your own information and hide your own IP address.

We do make the best attempt we can towards avoiding all logging where we can, we disable access logs and set error logging to the minimum allowed in nginx, and don't forward IPs in the proxy to services that don't have an ability to disable IP logging. We consider this a strict no logging policy, but we advise users that it is impossible for any hosting service to guarantee no logging at all times, only at the time of a configuration audit, if this is a concern we recommend you use a VPN or TOR to hide your IP.

Please note that if you use a site specific discount code or visit via an affiliate link, it is possible to link your account to these referrals, we recommend you delete the affiliate cookie and do not use site specific discount codes if this is a concern. We also require our affiliates to disclose their affiliate links immediately next to them so that users are made aware. Please report any violations of this policy.

You control your data

We have zero interest in selling your data to third parties, you are our customer, not our product.

Upon service termination or cancellation, your VPS data is immediately removed from the server, there is no retention.

In most cases, any automatically provisioned service backups are immediately deleted.

Manually provisioned backups may not always be immediately removed, but we generally aim to delete these within 72 hours. Please request manual deletion if you need this sooner.

You may request deletion of your personal (emails, names, crypto addresses, invoices, etc.) or service data (VPS disks, backups, DNS records, etc.) at any time, we will delete your data from our systems or anonymise it where otherwise impossible within 72 hours, usually immediately.

We recommend you don't give us your personal data where possible

We recommend you don't give us any data that can link to you.

We intentionally limit the amount of data you can give us when registering, and we have made great effort to allow users to register with zero personal data if they wish.

As we would otherwise be forced to suffer our equipment being seized, we are compelled to hand over VPS disks and potentially any customer information we have where required by law in the countries that your purchased service(s) operate in. We would recommend you set up full disk encryption if any data contained on your VPS which is otherwise legal in our server location may incriminate or subject any state intervention towards you in your home jurisdiction.

We minimise the amount of data we can see

Members of staff are required to sign a company wide non-disclosure agreement in order to access customer data.

We continually work towards measures that can allow our customers to provide us less data while still allowing us to operate.

How do we protect your privacy?
  • We have made effort to permit users the ability to sign up with zero information, when users provide a password on signup, they are given a User Key to log in with, no other information is needed, and email is NOT required.
  • If users provide an email, it is only useful for password resets and service notifications. Users may also use the same email on multiple accounts if desired, and as such, it is impossible for anyone to check if an email is registered with us.
  • We do not normally use any tracking cookies on our services, we only use cookies for maintaining your login session and saving some user preferences locally. Please note that affiliate links and site specific discounts can be used to track where you found us, please do not use these if this is a concern.
  • We support encrypted support via our matrix server, and we offer free accounts to customers who require them.
  • We avoid third party services where we possibly can, we own our own equipment, do not resell services from other dedicated server/VPS companies and maintain our own payment processor in house to accept cryptocurrency.
  • Other than email, we do not use insecure or third party communication software.
How will we advance our privacy protection in future?
  • We will continually work towards full independance from other providers where practically possible.
  • We intend to schedule regular audits of our services with third parties, the results of these audits will be posted publicly after we are allowed time to fix issues if any arise.
  • We intend to publish our configurations for the services we run for self audit via our git repository in the near future.
