General Questions

Can I host X?+
Please check the AUP and TOS, but if you're still not sure, please contact us.
Do you rent your hardware or resell VPSes from other providers?+
No.

We 100% own our own VPS nodes outright, we do not rent, lease or borrow them. For some legacy managed services and our DNS, we use some of our own and some services rented worldwide from trusted providers as we don't operate in multiple locations yet, but we are always working towards as much independance from others as possible.

We will never offer services using resold, rented, borrowed or leased hardware for VPSes without full disclosure on the listing to our customers including which provider we resell from. We believe any other stance towards this is dishonest.
Do you own your own IP address space?+
Not yet, we currently rent space from a trusted provider, but we are working on registering our own. Unfortunately IPv4 space is thousands or tens of thousands of dollars to purchase so we can't afford it yet.
What brands of equipment do you operate?+
We currently operate and prefer AMD's EPYC Platform, Lenovo Thinksystem and Supermicro servers, Intel and Micron Sata/U.2 SSDs, and Mikrotik or Arista Network Equipment.
Are you connected to any internet exchanges?+
We hope to be connected directly to SONIX, SOLIX and STHIX in the near future.
Can you sponsor my Open Source Project?+
Maybe

We have supported privacy or security focused open source, and some open internet projects before such as /e/OS with financial donations, we don't do this by request. But if you are running an interesting open source project we may be able to sponsor hosting towards it as long as you are willing to mention us, and maybe send us some stickers too!
Will you make an onion/I2P site?+
We're working on this, at the moment we have a very long to-do list.
What languages do you support?+
We offer support in both Japanese and English, please note that not all our administrators are experienced bi-linguals and so availability of support in your prefered language may vary. Urgent support requests may be machine translated if your preferred language isn't available.

You can set your language preferences in your user details.

VPS Questions

What features do you have in the VPS panel?+
We currently have the following features:
  • CPU/Memory/Bandwidth Usage Bars
  • CPU/Memory/Disk/Network Usage Graphs
  • VM Status (Power, OS, Hostname, Primary IPs)
  • IP Information (Address, Gateway, Subnet)
  • VM Power Controls (Start, Stop, Reboot, Shutdown)
  • VNC (Access to VM Video Console)
  • Ability to Configure Hostname, Root Password and Reinstalling the VM to same/different template.

The panel is still a work in progress and will support more features in future, such as manual ISO attach, Firewall, SSH Keys, backups and more.
Can I upgrade my VPS?+
Yes, VPS upgrades are easy and billed pro-rata, please ensure you shut down (not reboot) and start the service in order for the upgrade to work. You may need to use gparted to resize the disk, this is available via the ISO attached to all VPSes.

If you have upgraded to a tier with a higher network speed, please contact us as this is currently a manual upgrade.
I don't like any of the VPS plans, can you do custom ones?+
Yes, please contact us for a quote. In general we charge $1/vcpu/mo, $1.5/GB/mo for ram, $0.1/GB/mo for NVME SSD, $5 per additional IPv4 and approximately $30/mo per 100Mbit Unmetered Bandwidth, we may be able to offer better rates for larger orders. We plan to adjust our system in future to offer this customisation by default.

At the time of writing, we can offer NVME storage of up to 20TB.
Can I have a private lan between multiple VPSes?+
Please send us a ticket and we can arrange this for free, if you hold VPSes on multiple different nodes, our crossconnects currently have a link speed of 25 Gigabit/s (SFP28), this link speed is shared but we do not limit your speed or usage.

Unfortunately due to a software limitation where all network traffic for a VM is combined into one statistic, it may be counted towards your bandwidth cap, but we are more than willing to remove the cap for free if you prove to us (or we can see) that you aren't exceeding it.
Can I install a custom OS or attach a live CD?+
Yes, if you're ordering a new service please choose the "Netboot" option (ignore the emailed credentials), this will send you into a Netboot environment upon accessing the server via VNC. If you have already purchased a VPS, please use VNC to access the bios and choose the CD/DVD boot option to open netboot. We can also attach specific ISOs to your VPS if netboot doesn't feature them.

Please note that if install a custom OS and don't install QEMU Guest Additions to your VM, you will not be able to use Graceful Reboot or Shutdown in the panel.
Do you provide backups?+
Our backup services are currently manually provisioned, we can offer both on site and off site backups for your services.
What ports are blocked on your services?+
We block the following ports/services by default:
  • 25 (SMTP)
  • 67 (DHCP Server)
  • 135 (RPC)
  • 137/138 (NetBIOS)
  • 139/445 (SMB/SMBswat)
  • 465 (SMTPS)
  • 587 (Submission (Email))

We are more than willing to unblock ports for as long as you can justify your requirement for them, for email, please see our additional requirements below.

This list may not be complete, and we may choose to block additional ports in future if we see abusive behaviour from them.
Can I use my VPS for email?+
You definitely can

Contact us, we will request you add a TXT record to your domain to verify your ownership of the domain, this record will need to be left enabled at all times, we will also need to know your hostname so we can set it on reverse DNS. You MUST set up SPF/DMARC/DKIM for your email server.

For new clients or those on our lower tier plans, we may require you to deposit a minimum of $30 credit to your account, this isn't taken by us to unblock the ports, but it helps us to reduce abuse. It can be put toward payment for any services with us.

Please note that sending spam emails will result in immediate suspension with no refund!
Can I run a Tor Relay or exit?+
Absolutely!

We do have some rules for Relays and Exits:
  • Setup torrc to stay within your traffic allowance.
  • Let us know before setting it up so we can change the Reverse DNS for the IP
  • Keep your software up to date.
  • Ensure you have a functional landing page for your hostname which explains you are a tor node.
  • Setup a local DNS cache with Bind9 or Unbound to handle DNS efficiently.
  • We may request you block further ports if we are experiencing a high number of abuse complaints from them.

We also require you to implement an exit policy which blocks at minimum all of the following:
  • 22 (SSH)
  • 25 (SMTP)
  • 465 (SMTP over SSL)
  • 587 (SMTP over TLS/Submission)

We recommend you also block:
  • Ports 6660-6667 (IRC - Kerbs DDoS)
  • 6697 (IRC over SSL - Kerbs DDoS)
What templates do you offer?+
Currently we offer a range of common and up to date cloudinit templates, these can be immediately provisioned easily and you can have your VPS ready to use in under a minute.
  • Debian 12/13
  • Ubuntu 24/25
  • Almalinux 9
  • Rockylinux 9
  • CentOS 10

If you need something else, please choose the netboot template then access the VM via VNC in the panel, this will give you a wide range of install ISOs to choose from, if you need something that isn't featured on Netboot, then please contact us, and we can attach the ISO for you.

Please note that if install a custom OS and don't install QEMU Guest Additions to your VM, you will not be able to use Graceful Reboot or Shutdown in the panel.<
Do you have IPv6 and can I have an IPv6 only VPS?+
We are working towards offering this very soon.
Do you oversell resources on your nodes?+
We oversell on network speed only as it is cost prohibitive to purchase dedicated network bandwidth for each VM, our nodes only have a limited connection speed which is shared between all users on the node, but it is extremely uncommon that many users attempt to use 100% of their provisioned network speed at once. We may provision more cores in total than available on our nodes but we monitor the CPU usage and ensure we aren't causing issues with CPU Stall/CPU Steal.

For disk, we use thin provisioning (and set the discard flag in all VMs to enable trim) but we do not provision more disk space than we have available, we only use this to reduce wear on our disks so that free space on VMs can be used for wear levelling.
Can I mine X cryptocurrency your nodes?+
If you like, but you are guaranteed to not make a profit.
Can I run Windows on my VPS?+
We don't recommend it but we would suggest you purchase a VPS with at least 4GB of ram if you want to do this, please note we do not provide technical support for windows outside of issues with our network or nodes. If you require the virtual machine type to be set for windows or need EFI, send us a ticket, we may charge a small admin fee for changing this.
You must also have a valid licence key, we don't provide these.

Please note that if you want to set up an SMB server with windows, you will need to request the ports to be unblocked.

Payments

Do you require KYC?+
We don't require KYC for any of our services.
What payment methods do you accept and do you use third party processors?+
We accept Monero, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Lightning, as well as Litecoin via our self-hosted BTCPay Server, we do not use third party payment processors.

If you're converting from other coins through an exchange, we highly prefer Monero to other coins.
Can I add credit to my account?+
Yes, you can add credit to your account from the panel. If you contact us, we can offer bonuses for larger deposits, as they help us gain capital to expand our offering.
How do I pay for more than one month?+
Please add credit to your account equivalent to the duration of time you wish to purchase the service for, our system will automatically take credit to pay your invoices.
Can I pay with bank transfer/card/paypal?+
We don't generally offer this, if you can't pay with cryptocurrency, you can purchase equipment and have it sent to our datacentre in exchange for account credit. Contact us and we may be able to work something out.
Do you offer refunds or withdrawal of account balance?+
We offer refunds back to crypto within the first 48 hours of service purchase, the mining fee will be taken from the refund. We offer refunds for part used services at any time to account balance, and these can be used for other services.
We don't generally offer withdrawals of account balance without prior agreement, such as for affiliates who provide a large number of referals.
How are Management Hours Billed?+
For management hours we bill initially for 30 minutes, this is the minimum charge regardless of if the job is less than 30 minutes, this covers the setup time for our administrators. After this, we charge in 15 minute increments, so a 35 minute task is charged as 45 minutes. We don't generally provide fixed price quotes, we charge based on time spent, this could mean specialised software/hardware we are less experienced with requires more hours, but in turn what we are experienced with requires less hours.

Please note that all management hours must be pre paid, if we require more time than you have paid for we will pause the management and allow you time to purchase further hours.
Do you offer referral credits?+
At the moment we offer a 5% referral credit, this can be withdrawn to your account balance and used on our services.

For larger referrers we can consider a higher rate and withdrawals to your own cryptocurrency wallet, for this, please contact us before starting to refer users, we unfortunately cannot offer this retroactively because we need to ensure we are reserving coins for your payout.
